Gurmat Sikhlai Camp , a bi-annual religious camp for children aged 5 to 16 ,is organized by  Shri Nanaksar Ashram (Regd.) Trust Siahar, 141117

The camp is being organized under the patronage of Shri Hazoor Baba Mihan Singh Ji and Shri Hazoor Baba Harnek Singh Ji Maharaj.

The aim of the camp is to introduce the children of the said age group to the history and principles of Sikhi and inculcating in them the skills of Keertan and Gatka as per their interests. The theme of the Camp is to cover the history of the Fifth Sikh Guru, Shri Guru Arjun Dev Ji.

Tha Camp started at 7 am in the morning with the blessings of Shri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. The participants were divided in to 2 age groups, 5 – 10 And 11 to 16 Based on their interests, the participants were divided into groups, namely Gatka Group and Keertan Group. The teachers and experts further categorized the participants based on their level of skills.

The first day of the camp ended with a screening of a historic movie, “Bhai Taaru Singh Ji”, which gave a glimpse of the historic events of Sikh history depicting struggle with tyrants.
